Saturday morning, 8 AM, we meet, Anoop, Dinesh and Me at infantory road, and decide to take a short (huh? ) drive to Nandi Hills. Joins us is Pratiksha, the new bie bitten by photography bug and she is driving us on BIAL Highway.
It isn't a usual long drive. we are looking forward for photo opportunities, and guess what, we have 50mm mounted on :P
The First thing we spot is the these workers on the Nandi Hills road, performing different processes of threshing, shaking, winnowing, all at once.
while men were busy winnowing, women were brooming out husks, stalks, and separating the grains.
Kids got busy posing for us, or were they shying off? these two little cute girls and a boy. then came the turn of the beautiful ladies to model for us, and well, those smiles you'd need to wait for.
we thanked them for the pictures, they thanked us for little break and entertainment. we move on. found this lady on the road, selling graps. price? 30 bucks per KG. :-& (decided on the spot, looking at the model of the car)
We reach one of those initial curves. beautiful view, cool wind, and we have to stop the car, come out take a little breather, soon we realize, the tank isnt' full, and we take a reverse. the gas station is on the highway, so we settle down with 5 bottles from this road side shop. 65 bucks per bottle..i mean per litre.
I have been to Nandi hills, in Dec 2003, 6 years back, and Anoop some 25 years back. whenever I talk to any of friends to go to nandi hills, they'd shut my mouth giving me some weired reason or the other. Now we all are here. and weather is great. sunny yet cool.
Did I ever know, we plan to shoot portraits?
Atleast I didn't.
Here we are, the photographers cum models.
No one was spared.
So when we got tired clicking each other, we decided to head toward DANGER ZONE.
Indeed, it was dangerous.
and this one is for coming Sunday. Valentines in Danger. Need I say more?
So what's the subject number of this one ? Ok well, here we find this shining yellow Toad, Brilliant
and a very promissing future super model.
Some one who was all set n ready with the postures, before we went approaching and asking to do so and offcourse we aint leavin no stone unturned.
and there arrives a bunch of school kids out on a picnic, we spotted 'em near the danger zone, while they were taking a group snap.
So kiddos' which shoot was fun?? hmm??
Generations at work.
One of the most lively person we meet that day. He was running a little snacks stall behind the temple.
Why should monkeys be left behind, that too while they are up to some action packed performances?
Some relaxed folks, hidden around were also shot. well, we dint disturbed those busy preparing for Sunday Valentine though. Nice we are. :P
On our way back, this is one of those Ragi grain shot. lovely human being we met and shot.
uh oh.. there was one more pic here, where is that gone? the bugger ,,,the begger..!!
Alright lets wait to see him, till the entire bunch of pics arrives..
Time to tea break, 5 pm it is. and letsee what we got!!!
Not bad ?
P.S. Thank you Anoop for coming over to Bangalore from all of us, we all had a great time, Thanks Pratiksha, specially for the drive and Thanks Swami Gyandata Gyaneshwar Dineshananda ji for all the "on the spot" gyan distribution. :P
